This summer we have decided to support the Leyburn United Junior Football Club by donating towards the improvements on the pavilion at The Wensleydale School.
Leyburn United JFC is working with the school to renovate the wooden pavilion on the playing fields, the work will ensure the building can be used by both the school and football club for years to come.
More than £6,000 has been raised towards the work in memory of Leyburn mother-of-two Tracy Webb, who sadly died earlier this year. Tracy and husband Darren's sons attend the secondary school and play football for the junior club.
The Leyburn United JFC has grown from strength to strength and has 7 age groups ranging from under 7s through to under 15s and includes a girls’ team.
We thought this was a very worthwhile project as growing up in the area we know how important grassroots sports is. To have such a fantastic facility in Leyburn is great for the local community.
The club are always looking for new junior players and are England Football accredited, to find out more click here.
